So sorry for the lack of event.....

I've been busy and somewhat lazy for the past 2 months. And because of that the club hasn't have any activity recently. But the planning process has already been done and there WILL BE upcoming events from end of February all the way to June.

Remember, the club's purpose is to provide opportunity for practice and to gather photographers.

1. MEDT110 (incoming batch) will be having their orientation at the end of February up to the first week of March.... I'm opening the chance to practice and to work together in covering this massive event... for those who might have friends coming in and would like to take pictures of them during orientation or those who would simply like to take candid pictures .....

Pls email me at imu-photographyclub@hotmail.com. I'll fill you in with the details and we can discuss on what we would like to do then.

2. Hope for Haitian Week, is coming up on the 1st of March till the 4th or 5th of March. I was asked to look for photographers who like to cover the event as well. There will be an exhibition by our club, performance and food sales by other clubs. This is also an opportunity for those who would like to practice their candid shots also to meet more ppl in IMU. If interested in helping out (please we do need some help).....

Pls email me at imu-photographyclub@hotmail.com. I'll fill you in with the details and we can discuss on what we would like to do then.

3. There is an exhibition going on at KLPAC since the 2nd of Feb until the 21st of Feb. I was told that it was free so it might be worth checking out if you're going with a few friends. From what I've read, it's basically an exhibition of 5 professional photographers. There is so much you can learn about lighting and posing just by looking at other's work. However, I do not know what time does it start and end in a day. Hence, I recommend going in the afternoon and getting back before rush hour. I probably would not be able to bring you guys there personally (though i really want to) but at least you can try to get there yourselves.

4. DCIM showcase would be on the 14th to the 16th of May (Friday until Sunday) in Midvalley.
I'll add on more details as the date approaches (because these kind of things have a tendency to change venue). DCIM stands for Digital Camera, Image and Media. It's very much like a PC fair but focused on cameras, printers, films, and all forms of accessories. They also have showcases from major photography companies (like Nikon, Canon, Sony and Olympus) and these showcases allow comers to try out their arsenal of lenses 'on the spot'. Meaning, you can bring your camera to check out compatibility and to test the lenses specs FOR FREE. IT IS A MASSIVE EVENT FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS EVERY YEAR. Though personally I haven't been to one (I missed last year's), but this is one event that I'm definitely going. For those who have even the slightest interest in going....

Pls email me at imu-photographyclub@hotmail.com. I'll fill you in with the details and we can discuss on what we would like to do then.

Believe me when I say... there is more events coming up..... Stay tuned and i promise the photography club is not a dead club ...... ^_____________^

Happy Valentines and Happy Chinese New Year !!!!
