1st Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2009

Enjoy the Unique Hot Air Balloon Experience !

Malaysian Sport Aviation Federation (MSAF) and AKA Balloon Sdn Bhd will be co-organising the 1st Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2009 on the 19th until 22nd of March.

The Fiesta

Date: 19 - 22 March 2009

Flying the Hot Air Balloon is dependent on the weather; whereby the wind has to be calm and the sky is clear
The weather forecast in March for Putrajaya is suitable for flying hot air balloons

Venue: Putrajaya
The Fiesta will be held at Precinct 2, Putrajaya adjacent to the ‘Monumen Alaf Baru’

Number of Hot Air Balloons: 25
20 standard shaped hot air balloons
5 special shaped hot air balloons

Participating countries
Pilots from 19 countries have been invited to participate in the Fiesta namely;
Australia, Belgium, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Oman, Philippines, Switzerland, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, United Kingdom and United States of America.

In general experienced and skilled hot air balloon pilots around the world especially form Europe and Asia, are invited to participate in such Fiestas.
